"I was told that only one person would need to download an app out of the three of us, we ended uo with three devices that track everything and an app for each of us. You cannot drive through rush hour traffic whithout triggering something. If I drive my wifes car and she uses her phone it counts against us. Yes, we can go and update the driver for that trip but you have to do it everytime. I drive down 429 from Sanford to Winter Garden, the speed limit signs near Winter Garden are digital and the speed limit changes according to traffic. The device/app does not know this. Traveling in rush hour, you need to allow space for everyones hard breaking but people jump in and you have to slow down again to create another gap for someone to jump in. You might as well take the long way so you can make progress. I also have a coupe tickets. One was on the way to church i hit 85 on I-4 in Lake Mary (my mistake for accelerating down a hill), and another was on my way to visit a dieing church member. I asked if these would effect our rate and was tod they could not be found and eould not effect the rate. I soon recieved a letter stating I am loosing the discount for this reason. Fair enough but if they had been honest upfront I would not have switched because we are paying more without this discount. This company was very shady and deceitful. I would not recommend at all!"

We understand that usage-based programs like Drive Safe & Save can be a bit complex, especially with fluctuating speed limits and heavy traffic conditions, like you mentioned. While typically only one driver needs to manage the app per vehicle, multiple devices can cause some confusion if settings aren't aligned. The ability to update trip details manually is there to improve accuracy, though we understand it can feel inconvenient. Regarding your concern about the Steer Clear Discount, our records show that this was removed due to eligibility changes after violations were reported. A member of our team did send an email at that time to explain the situation, including that your overall rate was not drastically impacted. We always aim to communicate changes as clearly and timely as possible, and regret if there was any misunderstanding. Please know that our intent is never to mislead—we value transparency and respectful service in every interaction. If you’d be open to it, we’d appreciate the chance to talk further and address any remaining concerns."

"Had them for 11 years. Got fed up when they told me my rate was going to be 364 and then the next month it magically goes to 440 and they don’t want to give an explanation why. It’s BS and a scam. Instantly found new insurance"
